Hans Christian Andersen
Nineteenth Century author Hans Christian Andersen is best known for
his classic children's stories though he wrote other book types,
too. These stories have been translated to over 100 languages.
Drawing from his own life experiences, this prolific writer exhibits
compassion for the underdog and frequently mock the upper class.
Like so many other fairy tales, his, too, show that appearances can
